7 8/10 + 7 9/10

First I did 7+7 14
Then 8+9 = 17
Then 10 10 10
So I did ten divide by 17 equals 1
The one gets added to 14 and the remaining seven stays and it turns to 15 7/10? Am I explain this right

correct, good work.
Yes! Good job!
7 8/10 + 7 9/10 ________OR 7 + 7 + 8/10 + 9/10

First I did 7+7 14 _______Yes 7+7 = 14

Then 8+9 = 17 _________ OR 8/10 + 9/10 = 17/10

SO WE HAVE 14 + 17/10

I DO 17 divide by 10 = 1 and 7 left over OR 1 + 7/10

SO I HAVE 14 + 1 + 7/10

WHICH IS 15 7/10 SO WE AGREE

Then 10 10 10
So I did ten divide by 17 equals 1
The one gets added to 14 and the remaining seven stays and it turns to 15 7/10? Am I explain this right
If the answer I got is 5 13/12
First I did 12 divide 12 stays 12
Then I did 12 divide by 13 which is one
So the five turn into 6 and 1/12
Am I right ? Because the reminder get added to the five which is one right
Then I write 1 over 12 because 12 goes into 13 once so my answer is 6 1/12
Yes, you are right.
Thank you
One more question
The only time I need to do that is when the numerator is bigger then the denominator not if the answers is this
3 2/4
Yep. If the answer is 3 2/4 all you need to do is simplify or reduce 2/4 to 1/2.

3 2/4 = 3 1/2
Yes, exactly if the numerator is bigger than the denominator then the fraction is bigger than one.
5 13/12
is the same as 5 + 12/12 + 1/12
but 12/12 is one
so
5 + 1 + 1/12
or
6 1/12

what if we had 5 25/12 ?
5 + 24/12 + 1/12
5 + 2 + 1/12
7 1/12
