/6x^2=2-x

/=radical sign

1 answer

So I read that as

√(6x^2) = 2-x

square both sides
6x^2 = 4 - 4x + x^2
5x^2 + 4x - 4 = 0

using the formula
x = (-4 ± √96)/10
= (-2 ±2√6)/5

I tested both answers in the original equation.
They both work
