multiply the 2nd by 10
16x - 28y = 64
divide by 4
4x - 7y = 16 (#2)
15x - 8y = -41 (#1)
#1 times 8 ---> 32x - 56y = 128
#2 times 7 ---> 105x - 56y = -287
subtract them
-73x = 415
x = - 415/73
sub into 4x - 7y = 16
4(-415/73) - 7y = 16
-7y = 2828/73
y = -404/73
