Could someone explain this question to me?

I attempted the question and here is why I chose the answer below.

Thank you!
--------------------------------------
1. If A ⃗ is a vector representing 50 km/h northeast, what is 3/5 A ⃗?

a) 30 km/h southwest

b) 30 km/h northeast

c) 30 km/h northwest

d) 30 km/h southeast

I attempted the question and here is why I chose the answer:

3/5(50)=30 km/h. It is northeast because the value is not negative. If it were to be negative, it would go south, so the answer is B

2. A ⃗ represents vector going 5km/h N20°E. What is -1/5 A ⃗

a) 5km/h S20°E
b) 1km/h S20°W
c) 1km/h W20°S
d) 5km/h S20°W

Answer is B, 1km/h S20°W because the value is negative, it is going south and west, thus opposite direction.
