area of the 30by30 lawn = 900 ft^2
so he can mow 900 ft^2/hr
larger lawn has area of 2850 ft^2
time = 2850/900 hrs
= 3.166667 hrs
= 3 hours and 10 minutes
so he can mow 900 ft^2/hr
larger lawn has area of 2850 ft^2
time = 2850/900 hrs
= 3.166667 hrs
= 3 hours and 10 minutes

Reiny
2850/900 = 3 1/6
so that is 3 hours + 1/6 of an hour
1 hour = 60 minutes, so 1/6 of 60 = 10
(because 6x10 = 60)
so that is 3 hours + 1/6 of an hour
1 hour = 60 minutes, so 1/6 of 60 = 10
(because 6x10 = 60)
