how do you find sin theta and cosine theta of angles?

ex. Find the sine theta and cosine theta of 150 degrees as well as the degrees in radians?

2 answers

For the sine and cosine functions, you need a calculator, a slide rule (if there is one in the attic) or a table of trigonometric functions. There are also web sites you can use.

Sin 150 degrees = 1/2, exactly
cos 150 degrees = -(sqrt 3)/2
You can prove that with geometry, but other angles usually require a calculator or table.

To convert an angle in degrees to radians, multiply it by pi/180.
thanks we have a table but we have to fill it out ourselves and i wasn't sure how to do it.
