from the first equation,
y = 2x+2
put that into the 2nd equation to get
-5x + 7(2x+2) = 41
-5x + 14x + 14 = 41
9x = 27
x = 3
so
y = 8
y = 2x+2
put that into the 2nd equation to get
-5x + 7(2x+2) = 41
-5x + 14x + 14 = 41
9x = 27
x = 3
so
y = 8
