Divide real length in feet by the paper length in inches to get the scale "feet per inch"
Real length=34'1/4"=34.04167'
paper length = 7"
Scale = 34.04167/7=4.8631 feet/inch

If you want the inverse, just calculate the reciprocal,
1/4.8631 inch/foot
