Here is an example:
x^-5 becomes 1/x^5 -->flip to denominator (bottom) and make the exponent positive.
1/x^-5 becomes x^5 --->flip to numerator (top) and make the exponent positive.
x^-5 becomes 1/x^5 -->flip to denominator (bottom) and make the exponent positive.
