how do you find the square root symbol on the computer

i'm not sure there is on a keyboard, maybe in your word documents, if using Microsoft click on inserts and choose the insert symbol, and search through the programmed symbols in the word program.

You have to be careful pasting text from Word docs, as fonts may get munged up.
