20-20,000 hz is the usual cited range. I suspect maybe toddlers have that range,but it reduces as folks age, are exposed to disease, noise, and rock music, and guns. I can't hear much above 3000hz, and I have to "feel" the 40hz in the opening of "Thus Spake Zarathustra". I hear it as a slight buzz.
