A student drops from a bridge to the water 9.0m below. With what speed does the rock strike the water?

distance = 1/2*g*t^2
V = Vo + gt.
Use equation 1 to solve for time it takes for student and rock to fall to the water. Use equation 2 to solve for V. The mass of the student and/or the mass of the rock is not needed.
