you are investigating a crime. someone has died as a result of a gun shot from far away. The suspect claims that it couldn't have been him because he was with the victim at the time of the murder. they were in a restaurant eating pasta. how could you test to see if the suspect and the victim were eating pasta and prove the suspect was telling the truth? (assume you can use any part of the dead body)

check the stomach contents. Duh.

since pasta is rich in carbohydrates i would perform a starch test to see if the person ate pasta.i would obtain the stomach and put a drop of iodine in to see if the color has changed. if the color turned blue its a positive test and person did eat pasta.
