What is the best way for me to learn more about airport operations??

The VERY BEST way is to visit an airport, including flight operations, but I don't think that is allowed anymore.(What does that tell you about our world today?)_ Two other ways are, as Ms Sue has suggested is read, read, read. Another is to invite a tower operator and ground control operator as well as in-flight controllers to a meeting of your club/library/meeting/group or what not.
