how do I find the slope of (0,5)(5,0)

any help would be great.

1 answer

Call those coordinates (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)
x1 = 0 y1 = 5
x2 = 5 y2 = 0
The equation to use for the slope of theline between two points (assuming the y axis is vertical) is always:
slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
In this case the slope is -5/5 = -1
