can someone check and see if i did this right

An 800 g solution of acid and water contains 128 g of acid. What percent of the solution is acid?

100=128/800*100
128/800=6.25
6.25*100=625

Your first two equations are both wrong.

128/800 = 0.16 = 16%

I'd set it up with %/100=part/whole, then multiply top to bottom across the equal sign and divide by the other number.
x/100=128/800
x=12800/800
x=16
Your 625 answer doesn't make sense, due to the fact that they want the percentage... if it doesn't make sense, it can't be right:)
