I am finding whether men or women are smarter. I am doing a chi-squared test to see if theres a correlation. What other sophisticated processes can i do?

I suspect that differing criteria will produce different answers. Perhaps the most sophisticated process in the whole mix will be deciding (and justifying) what you mean by "smarter."
