How do I write a balanced equation for the synthesis of benzoic acid using the grignard reagent.
To make the grignard reagent I used 0.5g of Mg, 2 ml of ether, and 3.9g of bromobenze.
then to make the benzoic acid I used CO2 and H3O+.
I will really appreciate if anyone can help
Thanks

Scroll down the page, about 1/3 the way down, to "from bromobenzene." AThe balanced equation is there.
