Why did you call this Trig ?

-2/5 + (x+4/x)= 1
-2/5 + x + 4/x = 1
multiply by 5x
-2x + 5x^2 + 20 = 5x
5x^2 - 7x + 20 = 0
x = (7 ± √-351)/10

= ( 7 ± i√351)/10
= (7 ± 3i√39)/10
