If a flagpole casts a shadow of 300 ft. and a person standing 6ft tall casts a shadow of 400 ft. at the same time of day. How tall is the flagpole?

set up a ratio because you have similar triangles ....
h/300 = 6/400
h = 6(300)/400 = 4.5

I doubt if a person 6 ft tall will cast a shadow of 400 ft.
