How can i divide a parallel line of 40cm into ratio 3:2:3

let x be one of the part of the string and represent ratio 3,that mean 40-2x represent ration 2

x/(40-2x)=3/2
x=15

that mean the string can be divide into 15cm, 10cm and 15cm

let the three parts be 3x, 2x and 3x
then 3x+2x+3x= 40
8x=40
x=5

3x---> 15
2x---> 10
3x---> 15
