A car sits at a red light. Once the light turns in green, the driver accelerats at a rat of 3.5m/s^2. How far has the car moved after 6 seconds?
I have so far d= (1/2)at^2
please check is it (1/2)(3.5m/s^2)(6 seconds)
is the answer 1.75 m/s^2 x 6 sec=10.5 m/s^2?
Thank you

Check your formula: d= (1/2)at^2
You forgot to square the 6 sec.
Take a look at the units involved, acceleration is m/s^2 but you multiplied only by sec, leaving your final answer in m/s, rather than meters.
