I didn’t dare speak/to speak (I think both are possible)

He confessed that he had robbed the bank.
3) As this elephant has learned to trust humans, the other elephants can learn it too.
4) It needed (instead of “it took” is possible?) a long time for Mary to get ready.
5) I wouldn’t consider/evaluate it “as” a mistake (an error).
