In triangle ACE, G is the centroid and BE=9. Find BG and GE.
(segments BE and AD cross in the middle of the triangle, BE overlaps AD and C is at the top of the triangle, and A is on the left corner and E is on the right)
Thank You So Much!!! ^0^

If you check your definition of the centroid, you will find that it is 2/3 of the way from each vertex to the midpoint of the opposite side.
So, if EB is 9, how far is 2/3 of the way from E to B?

The person above was actually right, but here's the work
BG = 1/3 x BE
BG = 1/3 x 9
BG = 3
GE = 2/3 x BE
GE = 2/3 x 9
GE = 6
BG = 1/3 x BE
BG = 1/3 x 9
BG = 3
GE = 2/3 x BE
GE = 2/3 x 9
GE = 6
