Tim needs batteries.AA batteries cost $3 per pack.D batteries cost $4 per pack. If she has $26 to spend and buys 3 times as many packs of AA batteries as D, how many packs of each does she buy?

4x+3(3x)=26
4x+9x=26
13x=26
x=2
4(2)+9(2)=26
8+18=26
26=26
8/4=2 D batteries
18/3=6 AA batteries
