You need to wait a while to develop your interests and perfect your academic skills. As a long-time middle school teacher, I can tell you that most middle school students' interests are much different when they are high school juniors. Many also change their majors when they're in college. And some people don't decide for sure what they want to do as a career until they're in their mid to late 20s.
