In a flower box there are nine red flowers and six white flowers. There are three times as many yellow flowers as white ones. How many flowers are there in all?

There are three colors, red, yellow and white. Call their numbers R, Y and W.
R = 9
W = 6
Y = 3W = 18
Total number of flowers = 9 + 6 + 18 = 33
