subtractand simplify 7-x/x-9-7x-8/9-x.
I got (6x-1)/(x-9)

Is this correct?

The way you typed it, I see 6 terms, and I would guess that is not what you meant

Is it (7-x)/(x-9) - (7x-8)/(9-x) ?
or ... ( many ways it could be written)

I am saying: You will need brackets to tell us the order of operation
