I think for (Pd)=1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 4s^2 3d^10 4p^6 5s^0 4d^10 (Ag)=1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 4s^2 3d^10 4p^6 5s^1 4d^10 (Pt)=1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 4s^2 3d^10 4p^6 5s^2 4d^10 5p^6 6s^1 5d^9 4f^14 (Au)=1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 4s^2 3d^10 4p^6 5s^2 4d^10 5p^6 6s^1 5d^10 4f^14. Explain each if they do not obey the Aufbau principle. I think they do not obey the Aufbau principle but I don't know why? Please help!
