Predict which member of each pair has higher ionization energy? A) Al3 or Al+ B)Ca or Sr C)F or Ne ,explain please help me i don't know how to do this.

A. Is that Al^3+ vs Al^+. The higher charge on the 3+ ion will make it harder to pull an electron away from it.
B. Sr is further down the group than Ca which means the size of Sr is larger than Ca. A larger size means the outside electron is farther away from the nucleus than that of Ca which make it easier to remove the electron from Sr.
C. To remove an electron from Ne we must pull against 10 protons; to remove an electron from F we must pull against 9 protons. Therefore, Ne should have the higher IP.
