Well, depends how and through what.
If it is an electromagnetic wave in empty space (whatever that might be) it travels at about 3*10^8 meters/sec. That is about 186,000 miles per second; 11,160,000 miles per minute
11,160,000*16 = 178,560,000 miles
I suppose the real idea of this question was to figure out how many miles per minute is 3*10^8 m/s , which is how most of us remember the speed of light.
so
3*10^8 m/s *60 s/min * 1km/1000m *.6124mi/km
=.110232*10^8
=11,023,200. miles/minute
which is not exactly what I looked up but about right since I used 3*10^8 m/s which is an approximation
