I do not speak any Indian languages (e.g Hindi; Bengali) and cannot advise you on pronunciation.
1) A threat of extinction exists for the Asiatic lions, also.
2) The Asiatic lions are on the verge in danger of extinction, as are the Asiatic cheetahs.
3) The program is likely to succeed if the same resources and care are reserved for the cheetahs as for the Asiatic lions.
4) The last Indian cheetahs are thought to have been shot in 1974.

Click on the little speaker icon next to where the word is divided into syllables and listen to it. Then enter each of the other words and listen to their pronunciation, too.
In #2, I'd leave out the words "in danger" -- they seem redundant to me.
