This is a poorly worded question. Europe's population is not growing.

Population that grows too much may deplete its resources and the economy shrinks. A good example is parts of central Africa where the population has grown so much that each family has less and less land to feed it.

Population growth may also cause the economy to grow as was the case in colonial and post colonial America.
