As you know from the Remainder Theorem, dividing p(x) by (x-a) gives f(a) as the remainder.
we have f(-2) = 7
f(-2) = 4 + 6 + 2k = 7
2k = -3
k = -3/2
So, we have x^2 - 3k - 3
we have f(-2) = 7
f(-2) = 4 + 6 + 2k = 7
2k = -3
k = -3/2
So, we have x^2 - 3k - 3
