Already saw site became more confused. Ind. Var is the one thing the scientist changes could mean...the solution is changed by me and the potato changes because of me?

The independent variable is what I change. In this experiment, the different solutions are the independent variables. The dependent variable is what I observe. Each potato slice is the dependent variable.
