we subtract the price of magazine from 59.99 to get the total amount of the 3 books:
59.99 - 1.99 = 58.00 (cost of 3 books)
thus, we divide this by 3 to get the price of each book:
58.00 / 3 = 19.33

hope this helps~ :)
