To subtract fractions, you need to have a common denominator.

In this case, the least common multiple (LCM) of 10 and 9 is 90.

Next, you need to convert both fractions to have a denominator of 90.

For the first fraction, -10/10, you multiply both the numerator and denominator by 9 to get -90/90.

For the second fraction, -18/9, the denominator is already 9, so you just multiply the numerator by 10 to get -180/90.

Now that both fractions have a common denominator, you can subtract them.

(-90/90) - (-180/90) = -90/90 + 180/90

To add or subtract fractions with the same denominator, you simply add or subtract the numerators while keeping the denominator the same.

-90 + 180 = 90

Therefore, the result is 90/90, which simplifies to 1.
