Question

Line RS is bisected at T. If line RT = 4x + 29 and TS= x + 17, what is the length of line RS

Answers

Reiny
So obviously RT = TS
4x+29 = x + 17
3x = -12
x = -4

RT = 4x+29 = -16+29 = 13
TS = x+17 = -4+17 = 13 , that's good
so RS = 26
