In Rikki-tikki-tavi, how do the characters represent humans???

I have read the short story and so far have this:

The animals in Rikki-tikki-tavi represent humans in a lot of ways. For example, when Nagaina is forced to choose between her last child and a fun or unnessicary thing, as in the killing of Teddy, she chooses her baby....
