1) Check the train times and the fare. Then buy your ticket at the ticket office. You can buy a single or a return ticket.
2) In Italy you can buy a single first class ticket or a single standard class ticket. If you travel nighttime you may have to reserve a berth or a sleeping car (I’m not sure about the terms) You can have a snack in at(?) the dining car.
3) Then punch your ticket and go on the platform. If you have reserved a seat, make sure you get in the right carriage of the train.
