First you find the slope
m= -3-(-1)/-5-0 = 2/5
then you substitute one point into the equation to find b
y=mx+b
-3= (2/5)(-5)+b
-3+-2+b
b= -1
your answer is:
y=(2/5)x-1
m= -3-(-1)/-5-0 = 2/5
then you substitute one point into the equation to find b
y=mx+b
-3= (2/5)(-5)+b
-3+-2+b
b= -1
your answer is:
y=(2/5)x-1
