investigate the economics of using a higher grade of plywood for the facing when using timber fromwork .
a fromwork system which is being used for concreting operations consumes the following labour and materials over 12 months :
labour:6043 hours at £21.50 per hors
Materials: 192 sheet of birch plywood at £28 per sheet. on average the form were used 6 times before taking the forms apart and replacing the plywood facing .each time the form are taken a part there was a certain loss of timber and fixing ; and the cost of replacing these was 32100 0ver the period.
a superior grade of "beto" plywood costs £40.50 per sheet , but it is is estimated that it will give at least 9 uses before a remark is necessary..
Calculate the saving to be made from using the beto plywood facing
