6. (8 marks) For the following example, assume that there is no gain of atmospheric moisture through evapotranspiration or loss through precipitation. Point A is on the windward slope of a mountain at an elevation of 0 metres. Point B is on the leeward slope at an elevation of 0 metres. The summit of the mountain is at 3000 metres. At point A, a parcel of air has a temperature of 30°C and a water vapour content of 7 g/kg. The saturated adiabatic lapse rate (SALR) is 6°C/1000 m. Refer to the saturation specific humidity table in the PowerPoint slides for Atmospheric Moisture for the calculations.

What is the saturation specific humidity of the parcel at point A? The chart indicated that it would be 26g/kg

What is the relative humidity of the parcel at point A? (7/26)*100=27g/kg

What is the dew point temperature as the parcel rises above point A?
I cannot figure this question out. Im not sure how I'm supposed to figure out the answer.

Thanks for the help.
