5x-y=5,3x+2y=29

Are we solving ?

If so, then from the first: y = 5x - 5
sub that into the second:
3x+2y=29
3x + 2(5x-5) = 29
3x + 10x - 10 = 29
13x = 39
x = 3
sub that into y = 5x-5 and you are done
5x-y = 5
3x+2y = 29
Multiply Eq1 by 2 and add the Eqs:
10x-2y = 10
3x+2y = 29
sum: 13x = 39
X = 3.
In Eq1, replace x with 3 and solve for y.
5*3-y = 5
Y =
