i think you are wrong because my homework is online its a program and it says that you get y=-7/12 which i am really confused with this part i have done like three problems back to back and i still get this part worng

4(9/10) +y= 3

(36/10) + y = 3

3 6/10 + y = 3

y = 3 - 3 6/10
y = -6/10 = -3/5 = = 0.6

I get the same answer as Huur. . .
