What's the problem?

We know that ABX is half of ABC.
So, since ABX = 24, ABC = 48

48 = 4x-12
60 = 4x
x = 15

To find X

ABX=XBC so if ABX=24 so does XBC. Add both together to start.

48=4x-12
Add 12 on both sides to get X alone
60=4x
Divide by 4 to get X alone
15=x
