find each product metally using the distributive property
i know for 4 (10.2) i do this
= 4 (10 + 2)
= 4 (10) + 4 (2)
= 40. + .8
= 40.8
but I am not sure how to show work on on following 2 problems:
11.6 (9)
and 3.4 (5)

#1 I would do (11*0.6)+(11*5)
#2 (3*0.4)+(3*0.5)

instructions are to find the product mentally using the distribution property:
11.6 (9) = 104.40
but you have:
(11 x 0.6) + (11x5)
6.6 + 55
= 61.60 ?? i don't understand
problem 2
3.4 (5)
you show: 3 x 0.4 + 3 + 0.5
= 1.2 + 15 = 2.7? i don't understand?
pls explain how you got this
