Given 2.05 mol Hg find mass Hg
2.05 mol Hg x 200.59g Hg / 1 mol Hg =411g Hg
My question is would my answer be wrong if I put it in scientific notation 4.11E2

Unless your class is using the E notation for scientific notation I would use the 10 power as

4.11 x 10^2 g

don't forget the units and, yes, I agree 3 sig figs are appropriate here.
