3 ^ (y+7) = 8
find y..i know you have to change 3 & 8 to the same thing so you can cancel them out and bring the exponents down but i don't know what you have to multiply it by.

take the ln of each side.
ln k^x= x ln k
(Y+7)ln 3= ln8
solve for y
ln k^x= x ln k
(Y+7)ln 3= ln8
solve for y
