Mg(s)+cl2(g)=Mgcl2(g)

Technically it isn't right because it's Cl2 and not cl2 AND MgCl2 is a solid, not a gas UNLESS the temperature is high enough which the problem doesn't address.
Mg(s) + Cl2(g) ==> MgCl2(s)
